Tightly Hand Coiled with a Distinctive Central Star or “Wedding Basket” Pattern in Red, Black, and Natural Tan with a deliberate “spirit break” or Pathway from the Center to the Rim (representing a way for blessings to enter/leave).

Excellent Condition

An antique Navajo basket is a coiled basket woven by Navajo (Diné) artists, most commonly from the late 19th century through the 1930s–1940s. The Navajo are far more famous for their silver jewelry and woven rugs, basketry has always been an important traditional craft, primarily for ceremonial and everyday use.
