Arrowhead points (more accurately called projectile points by archaeologists) are the sharpened stone tips attached to arrows, darts, spears, or javelins used by prehistoric peoples, especially in North America. 

The popular term "arrowhead" is often used loosely for any stone point, but many larger or older examples were actually for atlatl darts (spear-thrower projectiles) or thrusting spears rather than bow-and-arrow technology.
