Laverne Elliott (1924–2018) was a New Mexico Cherokee artist. She ran a gallery in Carlsbad, New Mexico, in the 1970s and created (or had produced) lithographs/prints of Western and Native American subjects, including buffaloes. Many of these were sold already matted and framed in a shadowbox-style presentation that included real artifacts.
