Hand Made from a Polished Speckled Granite Stone with All Around Groove

In Very Good Condition

Polished speckled granite stone associated with the Columbia River region (Pacific Northwest, USA/Canada), featuring a groove. Columbia River / Pacific Northwest river stones and glacial erratics commonly include granite and granodiorite (salt-and-pepper or multicolored speckled patterns of quartz, feldspar, and dark minerals like biotite/hornblende). These are often collected as cobbles, tumbled or polished by collectors/lapidarists, and sometimes modified with grooves (for wire-wrapping jewelry, drainage/traction on larger pieces, or decorative effect). True local bedrock is dominated by Columbia River Basalt Group flows, but upstream/tributary granite and metamorphic material mixes into the river system.
