A full-groove (or full-grooved) axe head is a prehistoric ground-stone tool made by Indigenous peoples of North America. The defining feature is a continuous groove that completely encircles the midsection of the stone head; this allowed a wooden handle to be securely lashed or wedged in place (often with sinew, rawhide, or similar materials).
