Hohokam pottery ladles (scoops or dippers) are unique ceramic artifacts created by the ancient Hohokam tradition. This culture flourished primarily along the Gila and Salt River valleys of southern Arizona between AD 750 and 1450. These vessels served primarily as food and beverage serving tools. They showcase the distinct material composition and manufacturing techniques that set Hohokam ceramics apart from neighboring Southwestern cultures.
