Laura Tomosie (1907–1977) was active from the 1930s through the 1960s/70s. Sister of noted pottery Grace Chapella, Tomosie was a well-documented Hopi-Tewa potter from the Bear Clan in Tewa Village (Hano), First Mesa. She created polychrome bowls and jars with classic Hopi designs, often featuring bold geometric and curvilinear patterns in red, black, and orange on a buff background.
