A. F. Leon, also known as Alvin or Adrian Leon, is of both Hopi and Acoma descent and is a known artist who specializes in intricate, often miniature, kachina dolls (also spelled katsina). His work is considered authentic Native American craft, often signed on the base with his name and the doll's name. He is recognized for Hand-carving each piece, often from traditional cottonwood root. He is also known for detailed work even on miniature pieces, using natural materials like yucca fiber, leather, and feathers. His dolls are often made to help in the healing process for individuals and the world.
