Eagles hold deep significance in Hopi life: their feathers are sacred and used in many ceremonies, and the Eagle Dance is a prayer for moisture, good crops, and plentiful feathers. 

The Eagle Katsina often appears in spring dances, kiva (ceremonial chamber) performances, and repeat dances, sometimes alongside figures like Mudheads. It symbolizes vision, freedom, and connection between earth and sky.
