The Hopi Pueblo Hanging Badger Kachina Doll (known natively as Honan or Honani) represents a powerful curing and healing spirit within Hopi culture. Unlike modern standalone action carvings, "hanging" style kachina dolls are closely tied to the oldest traditions of the Hopi Pueblo. They were historically designed to be hung from rafters or walls to watch over and protect the home.
