The Watermelon Man is a fun, non-traditional or whimsical variant tied to the popularity of watermelons in Hopi communities (a summer treat sold roadside that sells out quickly). It often features a green body with black stripes mimicking a watermelon rind, sometimes holding or topped with watermelon motifs, blossoms, or slices. Clown versions (Koshari/Hano) may show the figure eating watermelon for comedic effect.
