Cecil Calnimptewa, Jr. (born 1950) is a highly acclaimed Hopi-Tewa (Hopi Pueblo) katsina (kachina) doll carver from Moenkopi, Arizona (near Tuba City), on the Hopi Reservation. He is widely regarded as one of the top contemporary Hopi carvers—often ranked among the best—for his realistic, dynamic, one-piece cottonwood root carvings that emphasize anatomy, motion, draped clothing, muscle tone, and detailed textures.
