Kokopelli is the well-known humpbacked flute player katsina, a fertility spirit associated with rain, childbirth, mischief, and seduction.

Kokopelli Mana is the female counterpart (mana means "girl" or "female" in Hopi). She is depicted as a female racer katsina who participates in ceremonies, often intercepting racers and making suggestive gestures symbolizing procreation and fertility.

These dolls are traditionally hand-carved from cottonwood root by Hopi artisans, painted, and adorned with feathers, fabric, or other details. They represent spirits (katsinam) that bring blessings like rain and abundance.
