Tino Youvella (full name Celestino Youvella) is a renowned Hopi carver from the First Mesa village of Sichomovi (Sitsomovi) in Polacca, Arizona. A member of the Kachina/Parrot Clan, he began carving kachina dolls in 1962 as a self-taught artist to supplement his income. Known for his versatility and dynamic "Youvella style" — which often captures kachinas in motion with raised rattles or mid-step poses — Tino frequently collaborates with his wife Geraldine on sanding and painting. Their family tradition continues through their sons (including Alexander, Preston, and Darrell) and grandsons, who also carve dolls.
