The Hopi Morning Singer Kachina Doll (also known as Talavai or Early Morning Singer Katsina) is a traditional Hopi katsina representation from the Hopi Pueblo people of northeastern Arizona. This spirit figure appears at dawn during ceremonies like the Bean Dance (Powamuya), where he sings songs from rooftops, rings bells, and awakens the village while announcing news or distributing symbolic items like bean sprouts or fir branches. He symbolizes the arrival of dawn, renewal, and community awakening.
