Joy Navasie (1919–2012), known as the second Frog Woman (or "Yellow Flower"). She was the daughter of Paqua Naha (the original or first Frog Woman), who pioneered the elegant style of Hopi pottery featuring a white kaolin clay slip (a white background coating) combined with bold red, black, and sometimes other polychrome designs.
Joy Navasie was celebrated for her classic designs, elegant shapes, and high-quality execution. Her work built on her mother's innovations and influenced later generations.
