Excellent Condition with Only Very Minor Paint Wear
Caroline Talayumptewa (1923–2007) was a renowned Hopi potter from Polacca, Arizona, on the First Mesa of the Hopi Reservation. She created traditional hand-coiled pottery using native clays, often pit-fired, with distinctive designs in black-on-red or polychrome styles featuring geometric patterns, abstract bird motifs (such as parrots or wings), and other traditional Hopi elements.
Her work is celebrated for its precise execution and appears in publications like Fourteen Families in Pueblo Pottery by Rick Dillingham and Talking with the Clay by Stephen Trimble.
