In Very Good Condition with a Cracked Foot that has Been Reglued

Robert Kayquoptewa was a respected Hopi (Hopi Pueblo) Katsina (Kachina) carver from Hotevilla on Third Mesa, Arizona. He was active particularly in the 1970s–1980s (and possibly into the 1990s), known for traditional-style carvings from cottonwood root. He influenced his sons Brendan (Brendon) and Samuel Kayquoptewa, who became accomplished carvers themselves.
