The Wolf Katsina, known in the Hopi language as Kweo or Kwewu (sometimes spelled Kwewuu). The Red color describes a common color variation in these dolls, where the body or mask is painted in red or ochre tones, as seen in many authentic examples.

The Wolf Katsina is a respected animal spirit, often appearing as a guardian or side dancer alongside other animal katsinam like Deer or Antelope.
