The Hopi Pueblo Shalako (or Sio Shalako) Cloud Kachina Doll is a powerful rain-bringing spirit in Hopi (and related Zuni-influenced) traditions. Kachina (Katsina) dolls, or tithu, are hand-carved wooden figures that embody supernatural beings (katsinam) who act as messengers between humans and the spirit world, particularly for bringing rain, fertility, and abundance to the arid Southwest.
