White Swan (Dolly Joe Navasie / White Swann) is a respected contemporary Hopi potter from the Water Clan (born around 1964). She is from the Antelope Mesa area near Keams Canyon on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona. She comes from a prominent pottery family: daughter of Eunice “Fawn” Navasie, and sister to potters like Dawn Navasie and Fawn Garcia Navasie.eyesofthepot.com She learned the craft young (starting around age 6) by watching and helping her mother and grandmother. She began creating excellent work by her late teens and has exhibited at major shows such as the Heard Museum Guild Indian Art Fair & Market, Santa Fe Indian Market, and the Museum of Northern Arizona Hopi Show, where she has won awards.
