A.L. Sahmie (referring to Andrew L. Sahmie or Al Sahmie, a Hopi-Tewa artist from First Mesa/Polacca area, active from around the 1970s–1990s onward) created examples of this and other katsinam. 

The White Ogre (Wiharu) specifically represents the "good" or positive side of these figures, contrasting with the more threatening Black Ogre (Nata'aska or Nataska). They often accompany the Ogre Woman (Soyok Wuhti) and emphasize living the Hopi way.
