Iroquois (Haudenosaunee) corn husk dolls are traditional Native American dolls made primarily from the dried husks of corn (maize), a sacred crop central to Iroquois agriculture and the "Three Sisters" (corn, beans, squash) planting system. These dolls have been crafted by Northeastern Native peoples, including the Iroquois (Haudenosaunee Confederacy: Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora), for over a thousand years, likely since the beginnings of corn agriculture in the region. They served as children's toys, teaching tools, and sometimes in healing or ceremonial contexts.
