Excellent Condition with Very Small Chip on Rim of Halo

Fannie Loretto (also known as Fannie Loretto Lucero or "Little Turquoise") is a renowned Native American potter born in 1951, of mixed Jemez Pueblo and Laguna Pueblo heritage (half Jemez, half Laguna, and a member of the Water Clan). She is primarily associated with Jemez Pueblo in New Mexico, where she gathers natural pigments and clay for her pieces. Loretto learned traditional hand-coiling techniques from her mother, Carrie Reid Loretto, starting at age 16. Her family has a strong legacy in pottery, with six sisters also active in the art form.
