Darrick Tsosie is a renowned potter from Jemez Pueblo (Walatowa) in New Mexico. He comes from a prominent family of artists—his parents are the acclaimed potters Leonard Tsosie and Emily Fragua Tsosie—and specializes in hand-coiled figurative pottery, including storytellers, animal figurines, and nativities.

He uses traditional methods with natural clays and pigments gathered from the Jemez area. His works often feature adorable animal-themed pieces, especially cat storytellers (cats holding kittens, sometimes with fish or paw prints) and other animals like dogs, bears, horses, and parrots. He has won awards, including ribbons from the Santa Fe Indian Market starting at age 10, and his family’s work is documented in books on Pueblo pottery.
