Jemez Pueblo pottery storyteller doll (or figure) signed by M. Tosa is a traditional hand-coiled clay figurine from the Jemez (Walatowa) Pueblo in New Mexico. The Tosa family name is well-established at Jemez (alongside the closely related Toya family). Known potters include Christine Tosa (vessels and wedding vases), Phyllis M. Tosa (jars, seed pots, etc.), Tim Tosa (storytellers and other figures), Persingula/Persingular Tosa, and others.
