Evelyn M. Vigil (1921–1995) was a Jemez Pueblo (Walatowa) ceramic artist best known for leading the modern revival of historic Pecos Pueblo glaze-ware pottery. She was a direct descendant of the last residents of Pecos Pueblo. After raids, disease, and depopulation, the remaining Pecos people (estimates vary around 17–38) relocated to the other Towa-speaking community at Jemez Pueblo in 1838. Vigil began making pottery in the 1950s and continued nearly until her death.
