Cheryl Fragua (Born in 1970) is a contemporary Jemez Pueblo potter known for her handmade Storyteller dolls (also called Storyteller figurines or singing mothers). These are traditional Native American clay sculptures depicting a seated or standing figure—usually a mother or grandmother—with an open mouth as if singing or telling stories, surrounded by small children climbing on her lap, shoulders, or back.
