Lauren has been carving since the mid-1980s. He lives at Bacavi (Third Mesa) and is middle brother of the five Honyouti boys. He was in the Phoenix area for years working for a utility company. He would come home for vacations and ceremonies and would carve with his youngest brother, Ronald, always watching and learning. Finally he decided to move back home and begin carving full-time. He is very involved with his family, the community and ceremonial activities. Lauren is a wonderful carver, and like his brothers, his carvings are highly collectible.
