Watson Namoki was Born on August 8, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, to parents from the Hopi village of Kykotsmovi on Third Mesa, Arizona.  He belongs to the Fire Clan. Namoki began carving Kachina dolls as a teenager and turned professional around 1994.  His work blends traditional Hopi techniques with personal flair, making his pieces highly sought after by collectors.  
Namoki's carvings are known for intricate details, vibrant colors, and authentic representation of Katsinam. He specializes in both traditional and action-oriented dolls, often signing the base with his name.
