Marquis Dann-Lente was a Laguna Pueblo potter (of Laguna/Hopi heritage—his mother was from Laguna, and he identified with Laguna traditions). He was known for creating finely crafted pottery using traditional hand-coiling and outdoor firing methods (often with cedar chips). His work often featured tight, intricate geometric designs, traditional forms like jars (including ollas or water jars), and sometimes contemporary twists or elements like parrots, spirals, clouds, or animal motifs. He signed pieces as "Lente," "Lente Laguna," or "Laguna Pueblo Lente."
