Papago (Tohono O'odham) bowl baskets are traditional coiled baskets made by the Tohono O'odham people (formerly called Papago) of the Sonoran Desert in Arizona and northern Mexico. These baskets are renowned for their fine craftsmanship, using locally sourced natural materials. They were historically used for food storage, preparation, carrying, and ceremonies, and today many are prized as art.
