Large Thompson River rectangular baskets are traditional coiled or woven storage vessels made by the Nlaka'pamux (Thompson River Salish or Interior Salish) people of southern British Columbia, Canada, in the Pacific Northwest. These baskets, often dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, are prized examples of Indigenous basketry. They were typically used for storage, carrying goods, or as market/trade items.
