Jesús Quezada is a Mata Ortiz (Casas Grandes) potter from Chihuahua, Mexico, and a sibling of Juan Quezada Celado (1940–2022), the self-taught artist who revived and modernized the ancient Paquimé/Casas Grandes pottery tradition starting in the 1970s. Juan rediscovered local clays, pigments, coil-building methods (no wheel), stone polishing, and outdoor firing (often with dung or bark) by studying ancient sherds. He taught family members, including Jesús, Nicolás, Reynaldo, Lydia, Rosa, Reynalda, Consolación, and Genoveva. This launched the modern Mata Ortiz movement; hundreds of families in the village now make pottery as a primary livelihood.
