A Navajo Coral and Gold Beads Necklace is a classic and highly collectible piece of Native American jewelry, most commonly made by Navajo (Diné) silversmiths from the 1940s through the present day.
Mediterranean red or oxblood coral. The coral is hand-cut into rounded or barrel-shaped beads with14k yellow gold. The gold beads are seamless, hollow, or filled, and hand-stamped or plain polished. Early pieces (1940s–1960s) often have heavier, larger gold beads.
