A Coral Fetish Bird Necklace is a type of jewelry, often associated with Native American craftsmanship, particularly from the Zuni or Navajo artisans.  These necklaces feature small, hand-carved bird figurines, typically made from coral, though other materials like turquoise, jet, shell, or mother of pearl may also be used.  The birds are strung together with heishi beads (often shell or turquoise) to create single or multi-strand necklaces.
Primarily coral (red, pink, or angel skin), with some necklaces incorporating shell heishi, turquoise, or other semi-precious stones.  Coral is valued for its vibrant colors and organic origin, symbolizing a connection to the sea and eternal foundation.
