The Navajo Crystal rug style is renowned for two distinct design periods: an early 20th-century iteration with bordered, geometric patterns and a later 1940s-era that featured borderless, banded designs using vegetal dyes. Both types were influenced by the historic Crystal Trading Post in New Mexico.
