Navajo "Eye Dazzler" rugs are vibrant, geometric textiles from the late 19th/early 20th century, known for their intense, contrasting colors and optical illusions from serrated patterns, often using bright, commercial Germantown yarns. Emerging during the Transitional Period (1880-1900) after the Navajo's forced relocation, they blended traditional styles with new commercial yarns and Mexican Saltillo influences, becoming popular with traders and even inspiring Op Art, offering weavers unique artistic expression.
