Navajo Ganado rugs are one of the most iconic and recognizable styles of Native American textiles, originating from the area around Ganado, Arizona, and heavily influenced by trader Juan Lorenzo Hubbell in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Hubbell encouraged weavers to use a deep crimson red (known as "Ganado Red"), along with black, white, and gray, creating bold geometric designs with bordered layouts inspired by both traditional Navajo motifs and market demands.
