A Fred Harvey railroad bracelet refers to lightweight, mass-produced Native American-style jewelry sold to tourists traveling along the Santa Fe Railway and later Route 66 from approximately 1900 to 1955. Though named after entrepreneur Fred Harvey, who established the famous Harvey House hotel and restaurant chain, he did not personally manufacture the jewelry. Instead, his company facilitated the production and sale of these souvenirs through curio shops located at railway stops and trading posts across the Southwest.

These bracelets were designed to be affordable, durable, and easy to transport—unlike heavier, traditional Native American pieces. They typically feature thinly stamped sheet silver (often marked “coin silver” in early pieces) and polished turquoise or other stones.
