Navajo Long Hair Kachina dolls signed “F.B.” (or FB) are the work of Ferdinand Belone, a Navajo (Diné) carver from the Water Edge Clan. worthpoint.com He is known for hand-carved wooden Kachina-style figures (often cottonwood or similar), which are typically wood-burned/detailed, painted in bright colors, and finished with feathers, fur, or other materials. Pieces are commonly signed with his initials on the base or bottom. Auction and sales examples include Long Hair figures around 10–12 inches tall (with larger ones also documented), described as well-executed with good color and feather detail. One documented Long Hair example measured about 12″ high and sold in the modest collector range (estimate roughly $80–150, actual sale lower in one case); values for his work generally fall in the tourist/collector rather than high-end traditional Hopi Katsina market.
