Susie Charlie is a well-known, award-winning Navajo (Diné) potter from the Navajo Nation, recognized for originating and popularizing a distinctive style of hand-etched and hand-painted Navajo pottery.  Her style has been highly influential, the Charlie family continues the tradition through her children (e.g., sons Myron H. Charlie, Michael Charlie, Brandon Charlie, and daughter Terri Charlie), who produce etched pottery with similar techniques and often credit her as their mentor and inspiration.
