Westly Begaye (also spelled Begay) is a Navajo artist (born 1965 on the Navajo Nation) known for pottery that fuses Navajo and Acoma Pueblo traditions. He learned hand-coiling techniques from his longtime companion, Marie Francis Vallo, an Acoma potter. His work blends traditional Acoma-style fine-line painting, polychrome designs, and motifs with a contemporary flair.
