Navajo Red Mesa rugs come from a weaving region in the northeast corner of the Navajo Nation in Arizona, near the Four Corners area (close to the Teec Nos Pos trading post). They represent a distinctive regional style that emerged during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly in the transitional period of Navajo weaving (roughly 1860–1910 and beyond).
