Geneve Bitoni (also spelled Bitonie, Bitone, or Bitioni) is a Navajo potter known for handmade clay storyteller figurines. These are seated adult figures (often a “singing mother” style) with multiple children attached or clustered around them. They are hand-built from clay, painted in earth tones with relatively minimal detailing on clothing (especially earlier pieces), and usually signed “GB” on the bottom or back.
