A Navajo Yei Rug (also spelled Yeii or Yéʼii) is a distinctive style of handwoven Navajo textile featuring stylized figures of the Yei—Navajo holy people or deities from traditional beliefs and healing ceremonies. These rugs draw inspiration from sandpaintings (drypaintings) used in Navajo rituals, though the weavings themselves are not sacred objects and are created for the commercial market.
