Nez Perce corn husk bags (also known as cornhusk bags or flat twined bags) are iconic traditional woven items created by the Nimi’ipuu (Nez Perce) people and other tribes of the Columbia Plateau region, including the Yakama, Umatilla, and Walla Walla.

These flat, flexible bags are a remarkable form of artistic expression, primarily made by women. They are renowned for their striking geometric designs — often bold, colorful, and unique on each side — created through a technique called false embroidery.
