Panamint Shoshone (also known as Timbisha Shoshone or Nümü Tümpisatti) baskets are renowned examples of Native American basketry from the Death Valley, Saline Valley, and Panamint Range region of eastern California (Inyo County). They are widely regarded as among the finest and most tightly coiled Native American baskets produced on the continent.
