The Pima Tall Sided Basket is a historic style of hand-coiled basketry crafted by the Akimel O’odham (Pima) people of southern Arizona, primarily dating from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. Renowned for their incredible tightness and distinct geometry, these straight-walled or deep-bodied vessels were traditionally utilized for gathering, storing food, or ceremonial functions.
