Plains child’s beaded moccasins are traditional footwear made by Native American tribes of the Great Plains, typically for infants or young children in the late 19th to early 20th. These small moccasins were crafted from native-tanned hide (deer, buffalo, or similar), frequently with hard rawhide soles for durability on the prairie. They feature intricate glass seed beadwork usually sinew-sewn in geometric patterns, lanes, or motifs.
